The long and short of it: This Monitor 14 Series Tub and Shower Control is a fully functioning Tub & Shower Combination Faucet which comes with a Showerhead and Tub Spout. It has a Single Handle to control the Tub/Shower (on/off and to adjust temperature). It also includes the required Rough-in Valve which installs in the wall. The water is pressure-balanced and mixed in the Valve and then sent to either the Shower Head or Tub Spout. Simple, Stylish, and Functional.

This fixture includes the Rough-in Valve. The Valve is the part that installs in the wall and connects to your home's hot and cold water supply. The Valve included with this item is the Delta Universal Multi-Choice R10000-UNWS Shower Valve with stops. Delta has manufactured all of their Trim kits (the part of the Shower you actually see) to fit the same Universal Shower Valve. In the future, if you ever plan to change the style or finish of your Shower Faucet, you will not need to change out the Valve in the wall (as long as you stick with Delta as the manufacturer). This saves you from having to rip out tile or go through other hassles to change your Shower. You can just swap out the old with the new. This advantage allows you to stay up to date with the latest design and home decor trends!

United StatesThe tub faucet is made of a much cheaper plastic than the metal shower head and handle. Just waiting for it to break, but I like the other pieces of the set. Faucetlist delivered as stated, mainly disappointed with the tub faucet component. Follow up from customer on 7/17/19: I do appreciate that and didn't know about the lifetime warranty. Hi, I just wanted to reply back with some information regarding the tub spout and try to address your concerns. We have been told by Delta that to prevent corrosion, many of their tub spouts are now made of high density plastic because they say it actually lasts longer than certain metals. I also wanted to point out that the tub spout does include a lifetime manufacturers warranty along with all other parts in the tub/shower combo you purchased. Should you ever need warranty help, you can always contact Delta at: 1-800-345-DELTA (3358) Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. EST Saturday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. EST If the tub spout does ever break, I assure you they will help with a replacement at no charge.
