The long and short of it: This Shower is a fully functioning Shower Only Faucet which comes with the Showerhead. It has a Single Handle to control the Shower (on/off and to adjust temperature). It also includes the required Rough-in Valve which installs in the wall. The water is pressure-balanced and mixed in the Valve and then sent to either the Shower Head. Simple, Stylish, and Functional.

This fixture includes the Rough-in Valve. The Valve is the part that installs in the wall and connects to your home's hot and cold water supply. The Valve included with this item is the Delta Universal Multi-Choice R10000-UNBX Shower Valve without stops. Delta has manufactured all of their Trim kits (the part of the Shower you actually see) to all fit the same Universal Shower Valve. In the future, if you ever plan to change the style or finish of your Shower Faucet, you will not need to change out the Valve in the wall (as long as you stick with Delta as the manufacturer). This saves you from having to rip out tile or go through other hassles to change your Shower. You can just swap out the old with the new. This advantage allows you to stay up to date with the latest design and home decor trends!

United StatesWork as advertised, however I didn’t anticipate that with this style of faucet, you can’t get volume with cool temperatures. You have to continue to turn up the temp for more volume. A real disadvantage in hot climates where you’d like a cool shower. The shower head’s spray pattern also leaves a lot to be desired.
Hi Steve, thanks for your feedback and I'm sorry this shower faucet didn't work as expected. With a single handle style (Delta 14 series) unfortunately you do not have separate water temperature and pressure control. If you want to have a way to adjust the volume, but keep the temperature cool, you would need to go with a Delta 17 or 17T series trim kit. Although its not possible to exchange an already installed item, you could order a new 17 series trim kit and install it without the need to change the valve inside the wall. Delta part number "T17067-SS" is a good option for this. We are actually out of stock on this part currently but you could maybe order one elsewhere. With regards to the showerhead spray pattern, that is also something that is relatively easy to change. Delta shower arms are a standard 1/2" size. This means you can literally unscrew the current showerhead and screw on any new showerhead in a matter of minutes. You'd just need to pick out a different style that you think might work better.
