When you're dealing with a construction project so much of the process is not fun. It doesn't start being fun until everything is actually finished. Short story time! This is a story about the kitchen faucet in one of my first apartments. I was younger and didn't think a kitchen faucet really made much difference in the quality of my life. Well this particular faucet was not only ugly, with the chrome finish wearing off, but it also was made of a cheap plastic. Nobody should have to live with a faucet like that. But like I said, I was young and didn't give it much thought.
My Kitchen faucet had a unique "feature". There was a threaded nut which held the spout to the base of the faucet and every time you would swivel the spout, the threaded nut would loosen a little. Every week or so the spout itself would just pop off in my hand and water would shoot everywhere. I would turn the water off, screw it back on, and go on with my day. Eventually it became too much and I finally asked the landlord to put in a new faucet. This is how I learned that faucets are a functional part of daily life. Yes it's nice to have a faucet that looks great, but if you are ever unlucky enough to have a poor quality faucet like me, you will be bothered by it every day.
I know it may not seem like a big deal but you probably use your faucets more than almost any other fixture in your home.
